Time flies too fast and without a single blink, I found that the final stage is around the corner.

It’s the most suitable time to realize the mistakes, I guess. But brilliant people will still able to take the opportunity to fix themselves. I’m holding my point – do the best for myself.

Yeah. Do the best for myself – not to be the best among the others.

And I’m knocking the door.

Life is not easy. That’s the fact that everyone should realize and aware. When it’s come to the turning point, you could have a chance for glory or being slipped away from your own track.

I feel that I’m near to accomplish my current mission – to be moderate.

And sleeping a lot, not proper works, late submission help me a lot. And it’s enough for this time. I guess I had cured my disappointment on myself.

I want the best for myself, of course. But not to be the best among the others. Sometimes being chosen means nothing and you even never deserved to be the one. That’s why some people feel it disgusting and keep talking bad about you when you’re not around. Because of your ultimate fault – getting something but not deserved for it.

Everybody keep trying to be the best among the others, but sometimes they forgot to be the best for themselves. That’s why some people keep stuck in the middle of their way – without realizing the mistakes that they had done. Some people jump into the hole that they dug themselves.

Some people think that good CGPA is the measure for their intelligent and hardwork. Yes for some people but not for them who not deserved for it.

I wanna get what I deserved. And I’m looking for it.

One more thing to do today. Complete it and pass it. I prefer to stay on backbenches tomorrow. Watching and learning what the experienced guys will say about friends – and generally, about us. Thanks a lot for EP JB. Sorry for disturbing your time. But this is the only way we can snuck ourselves into our own satisfaction.

I believe home is the best place for meditation. I wanna finish it all and clear the mess that I’d done. C’mon time, fly faster!

Some friends keep asking me – how I learn to write and blogging and in English. Well, I have no specific answer about it. And I’m not the one who is talented in English. I’m blogging in English to improve my language skill and then I found it useful for me. First, I feel the improvement of myself. Now I’m not hesitate to write and speak in English, especially with my foreign buddies. Second, I got a lot of friends all over the world. For those who is familiar with the picture above, maybe you have the clue of what I want to say. Ok. The pic above is a screenshot from Silent Hill 4 : The Room. An interesting game and I currently playing it. Almost 55% done.

So what?

Yeah. I love playing games since I was a kid. My first console was Sega (or Atari? I don’t remember :question: ) and now I just playing games with my PC. 512MB ATI Radeon graphic card is enough for me

And from playing games, I learn to understand and apply English :thumbsup:

Silent Hill is an interesting game series but I don’t play Silent Hill 2 and 3 yet. It’s because I seldom visiting PC shops nowadays. Thanks to WarezBB.org and Rapidshare!

I choose Silent Hill 4 because I currently playing this game and the language used in this game is formal. However, some scenes are gore and not suitable for kids. Yeah, it’s a survival horror game

Back to the point, how I learn English through playing games?

One of the special feature in the game (in any game) you can get response from some objects or elements in the game. In the pic above, I try to open the door and then but then from the response I know it’s shut tight and won’t open at all. Of course, I have to understand the response given.

There are some cutscenes which is happens at some points or level in the game. These cutscenes are so important because it’ll lead you what to do or where to go next. Some cutscenes tell you the secret, history or plot in the game. I prefer the subtitle in the game because it is exactly right and prepared by the game creators. It’s true you can get benefit from subtitles in the movie but sometimes it’s not precise in term of timing and meaning and sometimes totally wrong! :down:

One feature that needs you to read is the ‘reading material’ in the game. This feature also exists in Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and other survival horror series. The reading materials might be novel, diary, notes, magazine, etc. The contents usually tell you what had happened, what to do next or the clue to settle the puzzle in the game. Puzzle? I’ll tell you after this

Puzzle in Survival Horror Game

Most survival horror games includes puzzle which needs you to settle it to go to the next level or point in the game. For example, you need to find the key to open a locked door. You found the key in a room, but the key is attached to a wired cord with electricity? So how you want to take the key?? Simple, go to the basement floor and turn off the generator Now you can take the key and unlock the door

Well, you can’t finish the game without understanding the direction, notes or whatever clue that is provided in the game. Absolutely.

How I Understand & Apply English?

This is how I understand and apply English. Well, it’s ok if you want to consider it as tips

1 – Play the game with the dictionary with you. Not the one that translate into your language. Use the Thesaurus (English-English). I suggest MacMillan Dictionary. In case you don’t know a word, refer to the dictionary. If you’re playing with your PC, just minimize the game and search it thru Google or Wikipedia

2 – Avoid subtitle while watching the movies. Sometimes it’ll mislead you. But in case it’s exactly right, it’s good for you Try to understand it and make sure you recognize the difference between American and British style.

3 – If you want to write in English, I suggest you create a new blog just for English posts in case you don’t have one. Don’t mix with other language. It’s ok if you want to quote some points in other language but put the translation there.

4 – Connect yourself to the global community all around the world especially bloggers. I found this step is very helpful to me. For sure, you have to interact in English. I suggest you use BlogCatalog for this step. and make sure to make adding new friends and visiting others’ blogs as your hobby

Well, I’d share how I try to understand and apply English, especially thru playing games. Now I’m not hesitate anymore to write and interact in English. I hope some of the points give a shot to your mind

I admit I still have to learn more and more and improve myself. There’s a lot of new things and knowledge out there so you have to search for it and don’t feel shy to ask if you don’t know something.

The ability to understand and apply English is an essential step for them who serious in making money online. Believe me :thumbsup:

The Phenomenon in Daily Life

Sometimes we’ll asking ourselves – “What I’m gonna do now?” and sometimes we’re asking ourselves a lot of questions when we feel regret – “What I’d done?” , “What’ll happened to me??”

If you start to realize it, there’s more than thousand questions you have in your daily life.

And in daily life, we human asking questions among us – sometimes we’re asking and sometimes we have to answer the questions. Some questions are personal, academic, technical, irritating, inspirational and some questions are in compliment, for example – “Do you know that I always love you?” ..well, it’s gonna be longer if I try to describe the all the questions here.

The Hunger For Answers

Human never feel satisfy, especially in seeking the truth. It was estimated that there are 130,000 new books published every year in the United Kingdom. In the United States of America, the number is a staggering 190,000! And until now, it’s a normal thing to know there are new discoveries everyday.

Scientists looking for answers, planners looking for solutions, and laymen keep waiting the ansers from the politicians. well, sometimes they got the wrong answers

However, the ultimate question for human is about ourselves – from where we come, what are we doing here on Earth, what happened to them, what’s happening in our life and etc. And that’s why some people are believing in the theory of evolution as an easy way to get the answers.

Human become eager when there’s something they really need to know – history, academic, entertainment, sports or even the tips, tricks and techniques (gosh. i received many questions on how to boost traffic to your site)

Slumdog Millionare : Where Life Gives The Answers

I watched Slumdog Millionare for the first time last night. I think most of you had watched it. You can watch the trailer here.

Just to make it short, Slumdog Millionare is about a guy that used to live in slums, and then becomes a chaiwalla (people who serving tea) becomes a millionare thru the program “Who Wants To Be A Millionare?”. And his epxerience in life gives him the answers, except for the final question, where he gambled to guess the answers and fortunately, he got it right! :halo:

When asked by the police (Jamal had been in custody, accused for doing fraud) how he managed to answer the questions, one of his answers is – “You don’t have to be a genius”.

I think by watching the film, you’ll got my points.

I’m not studying philosophy, but there are a lot of interesting things that we don’t realize happened in our life everyday. I admit I always thinking in an absract way but by realizing these things, there’s a way for us to be a better person :thumbsup: (sometimes it’s not, even it can make someone becomes worst :down: )

Preparing Layout Plan

well, i’m currently preparing the layout plan with Autocad. i’m using Autocad 2008 because the 2009 is quite.. hm.. i mean.. too modern sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it’s not – based on the layout that a person designs. i agree with my lecturer – the layout could be finished in 1-2 days, and we (the students) are too relax in doing serious things. yeah. i admit it. i also believe that i can finish the layout in 2-3 days but.. hm.. sometimes it’s quite difficult to concentrate, especially when it’s weekend in addition, i just found i had done a major mistake. and i had to redo. ugh. please God, give me patience. the submission date is 16th March but i prefer to make it early so wish me luck :thumbsup:

The Abolish PPSMI Movement (GMP)

I went to KLSentral last Saturday and on my way back, there’s a lot of white-shirt people on the streets.

i snapped these pics from the LRT.. near the Masjid Jamek station, if i’m not mistaken.

some of you might want to know what is PPSMI. it’s Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Subjek Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris (if i’m not mistaken) – Teaching & Learning Science & Mathematics in English. it’s the program under Ministry of Education of Malaysia to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in the Science and Mathematics subjects thru English.

some people agree and some people not. well, it’s happened in every government decisions

a guy said to me in the LRT : “Japan is more advance than us. Why there’s no something like PPSMI in Japan? It’s funny” (laughing) :question: ..well, he didn’t make a joke, i believe.

from my opinion, there’s pro and contra. some students can cope with this programme but i think most students’ don’t unless they’re trained well to learn Science and Mathematics in English. i’m in the last batch that use Malay, so I dunno what they feel, until I myself have to struggle study all the subjects thru English here in the campus. and tht’s why I writing posts in English – to improve my languange skills.

there’s maybe an agenda of some people – media said that, click here to read (it’s in Malay), but i think the goverment has to settle this issue as quickly as possible.

the more you let it burn, the more water you need to put it down.

i’d watched Heroes Season 3 and currently watching Family Guy Season 7. and yeah.. of course, the anime series and the movies. i heard Heroes Season 4 is airing now. not patient enough to download and watch it until the end!
