Well, it’s 1 January 2010 today. Gosh. It’s already 2010. I wonder how time becomes so fast lately. I still remember the previous days in 2009 – hilarious, sad, exciting and 1001 emotions that had been left behind.

Some people might taking the new year as a serious matter while some people don’t. I found some people arguing about this matter through online discussion whether we want to celebrate it or not. My opinion is – it depends on you. If it could bring you a positive move, why not making it as a platform to boost your motivation?

Talking about the previous year, a lot of things had happened. Of course a lot of things and events happened in the previous years (2008, 2007, 2006.. and back) but usually we talk about the latest one. People talking in the forum, in news and television mentioning about how the previous year filled up with a lot of thing and in fact we keep seeing this again and again as the new year is coming. New year celebration always being filled up with the new spirit and determination for the betterment in life.

But then when we’re arriving at the middle of the year or even 1-2 week after the so called celebration and new spirit, we come back to the previous state. We forget about the spirit and new determination that we shouted on the new year eve. So what’s the point?

I guess new year celebration will be the same thing that being repeated again and again except for the numbers. You talk about new determination and hope but in the end the result is the same. However I believe that not all people seeing new year as nothing. New determination brings new strength for them and it’s time to look forward and move. This is the sense of motivation that we want to see and I do hope this new year will bring a good move and improvement for all of us.

Goodbye 2009. Welcome 2010!
