How To Be Special Among Others

“For a company, there must be an employee chosen to be the best employee per month and year. And in every class, there must be the best student who always scores. And the same concept is applied to other situations and organizations too.”

I’ve arrived in KL with my family. A short vacation here (maybe at Port Dickson) and then it’s time for a new semester!

As the new semester is coming by (with tougher subjects, maybe), I’m thinking about what we will we face after this. It’s always about arguing and competing each others. And somehow we want to be special among others.

Trying to be special is not something bad. And it is not something that you call selfish. It is about developing yourself to be a better person and be the best one among others in everything you do. For a company, there must be an employee chosen to be the best employee per month and year. And in every class, there must be the best student who always scores. And the same concept is applied to other situations and organizations too.

So what is wrong with trying to be special? It brings yourself up to the higher positions and places.

I learned some of useful tips on how to be special throughout the classes. And here they are.

Do The Best

Well, this is obvious and I believe most of us understand this. But unfortunately we are not striving into this matter. Why? Because of various reasons such as “I can’t” or “I’m not able to do this” and etc. Do the best in your study – study hard to get good grades or if you are working – do the best too! This is the most important element for the supervisor to judge you and you shouldn’t let the chances go away by do nothing.

Be Unique

This tip is an amazing one too. Doing something unique shows that you are different from others. For example I have a friend who loves to wear white blazer instead of black one during classes and the supervisors always recognizing him for that!

Be Active

Always be active and take part in the discussion. Be brave to ask questions and communicating between each others and with your supervisors/lecturers/boss/etc. Join a lot of  programs, seminars and courses related to your works or study. From all of the people around you, you are the one who will be regarded as special among others.

Why?

It’s simple. When you are special among others, you have higher opportunity or chance compared to the people around you. And it’s time for some positive results and scores!
