Whether we realize it or not, we human have a kind of power that can change the future and next seconds in our life – the power of choice.

Researchers found that having power over others and having decisions in your own life share a critical foundation: control. Besides that a crucial finding that we should concern is that the 2 sources of control are interchangeable — if individuals lack power, they clamor for alternative, and if they need enough alternatives – they don’t strive as much for power.

The concept of Power of Choice somehow has been explained by Frederick Bailes in the 19th century where:

“Man’s power of choice enables him to think like an angel or a devil, a king or a slave. Whatever he chooses, mind will create and manifest”

We have to make choices in doing daily things in our life from determining what we want to eat until selecting representatives that we want to put into power. Here comes the concept of democracy where people’s voices are the ultimate power in the system – one vote can change a lot of things!

Politicians are dealing with “political consumers” nowadays where people are considering their selections by looking into the benefits & guarantees offered by the political parties for them. On the other sides trust, justice, trade records & popularity also play the role in persuading the people in bringing any political party to power.

It’s time to make the right choice.

Sometimes I feel that I’m working to hard. However to achieve something big, it is essential to sacrifice several little things. Yes – I have to sacrifice the moments to relax with my wife and daughter. Thus I am thinking of getting a good vacation time with them.

One of the vacation spots which has been put in my wishlist is Hilton Head Island.

I would like to relax on the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island with my family and then having our dinner and spend our shopping time at shopping centers and restaurants.

The next activity that we should do together is to watch the sun set into the water.. and there is a lot more things that we can do! Now I have to focus on getting my jobs done, looking for holiday times in my schedule and we are ready to go!

I’m prepared to be stunned by beauty in Hilton Head Island!

We – human are all looking for good things in our life. Best luck, big wealth, success in career or business – are some of the things that keep flying in our minds. We are all loving to have good things in our life. However life is life and for most of the times it is not an easy matter to get what we want to have.

Yesterday I read an interesting quote by Nelza Rahim from GadgetGarments – yet she loves to RTs a lot of meaningful quotes.

“All good things need time”

This quote made me think for a moment.

I’m in my struggling era of my life. I put my effort to build my business everyday. I’ve contacted a lot of prospects. I’ve collected a number of listings to be sold. I went here and there for my career and business. But at certain point I felt upset on my own efforts and lost my momentum.

Thanks God I always believe that it is not always an easy thing to get what you want and thus – I chose the harder path in life.

You might put a lot of efforts to get what you want in your life. You work hard to build your business. You put a lot of efforts to be with the person that you love. You study hard to success in your education. Or you might still wondering why there is no good results although you tried for 1000000th time?

Always believe that all good things can happen when the right time comes. What we need to do is keep putting our effort and never feel hopeless and despair until we achieve our target.

Relax your mind for a moment. Take a deep breath and read this – all good things need time!

You have the target. You have defined the strategies. And now it’s time to put your effort.

However in fact not all plans and strategies work well. Some people frustrated and stopped trying while some people keep trying to move on and put the effort to achieve the target again and again.

The same situation happened to me – well, I believe this kind of situation happens to most people and businesses too. So what should we do?

Let’s do some simple math.

Wise plan + Good strategy = Achieve the target

So what?

One thing that I always forgot to notice if my efforts failed are – the obstacles.

Why I don’t success in doing this and that? What are the things that cause the failures? Yes – they are what we called obstacles.

(Wise plan + Good strategy) – Obstacles = Failures

First, identify the obstacles. It must be clear and obvious as it is the thing that you need to overcome. Second, know how you can overcome it. Third, time to take action!

(Wise plan + Good Strategy)  + Overcome Obstacles = Success

Write down the present and future obstacles together with your plans and strategies. Define clearly how you can eliminate them. Make alternative plans to overcome the obstacles.

Overcome the obstacles. Nothing is impossible!

Life is wonderful. And we need ingredients to taste it.

19th December 2012:

Anne’s call while I was enjoying my regular lunch (Nasi Arab) with INSPEN CEA’s mates was a moment that eventually changed our life.

“I went to checkup today. The doctor gave us two options – it must be today or tomorrow”

It was a shock as the predicted due date is on 1st January 2013. Not too early but we still got some plans to do but I always believe that the ultimate plan in His hand. I felt numb for about 20 minutes as I got last paper for CEA on the next day (Building Technology & Maintenance).

At last – I’ve decided to make the journey: to experience something extremely valuable in my life.

Bangi – MARDI (taking ingredients for Tapai Segar) – Shah Alam – Klang – Butterworth

Getting bus from Klang to Butterworth was not a big challenge. The challenge is waiting for the bus to arrive in Butterworth. Arrived at Butterworh bus station and Abg Faiz was already there with his new CRV.

Arrived at home – I hugged my wife as tomorrow is a big moment. It’s time to give her the inner strength – that’s all the thing that I can do. Got some rest for tomorrow’s moment.

20th December 2012

9.35AM: We (me, Anne, Ibu, Masi) arrived at Amanjaya Specialist Centre, Sungai Petani. Mama, Abah & Tok Som were there earlier. Registration, and a few minutes later a nurse brought Anne on a wheelchair to the Operating Theater.

A few minutes later, a nurse called me to go inside the OT.

“May I see the operation?”
“Yes you can – if you can stand to it”

And I see how Cesarean operation done – live – for the first time in my life. A few minutes later – my first daughter has been brought out to the world.

Alhamdulillah! I took some time to watch her closely and read Iqamah slowly.

The second thing is to remove the part of endometriosis. It quite hard – and this operation is very useful, as the doctor told me.

About 30-45 minutes later, the operation was done. Cesarean + Removal of endometriosis. Thanks God it went well. As far as I know, Masi happily cried at the moment she saw the baby =)

Accompanied her for about 3 hours in ward and it’s time for me to be back in Shah Alam. Tomorrow is the last paper for CEA INSPEN exam!

The next challenge – all bus tickets have been sold out and I need to be back in Shah Alam as soon as possible.. well, no choice – Firefly! Departed from Penang Airport at 10.30PM and arrived at Subang Airport at 11.15PM. Abg Mael & Along came to bring my car. Arrived at my home at midnight to revise the notes.

The next Saturday (as I can’t stand anymore)  - back to Kedah with Along & kids.. named her Nuha which means ‘Intelligence’. Hope her name brings her success in this world and afterlife.

I feel grateful to have such understanding families on both sides. Alhamdulillah!

Dear my daughter Nuha – I will love you, raise you, educate you and show you the path of life. This is my promise.
