(Back on track, I hope so.)

Yes, watching movies is one of my interests and sometimes, passion (and even addiction!). Whether you realize it or not, there are a lot of things especially lessons that we can understand and consume while watching movies. Of course there are both positive and negative effects from movies but my point is there is always an interesting elements that you could realize while watching movies.

I would like to share with all of you – what I always do after watching movies.

The first thing to do is (absolutely) watching the movie. I personally recommend you to ignore any ‘spoiler’ from your friends or relatives about the movie that you gonna watch or you lose one of the interesting elements while watching movie. The only thing that I suggest is watching the trailer of the movie (you can look for them at Youtube) so you can choose which movie that you feel interested to watch.

[watching movie] – again, no ‘spoiler’ while watching!

After watching any movie, the first thing that I always do is.. checking for information, trivia and goofs about the movie! Yeah, I love this part very much because it always reveal the ‘hidden part’ of the movie such as the real building used in the film, interesting information about the involved actors/actresses and any mistake done during the filming of the movie. At this point, you will realize that there are more things to know about the movie and start to check it back and then watch the revealed ‘hidden part’ in the movie.

Gosh. You can call me insane but I love this!

You can check the trivia, goofs and other information about any movie at The Internet Movie Database (IMDb). You can read them yourself there =)

To be honest, I’m a movie lover and sometimes I think it’s suitable to define myself as a movie enthusiast. I believe some people watched a lot of movies until this sec and I’m one of them. I watch anime episodes such as Bleach, One Piece and Fairy Tail every week (of course, because new episode is being released every week) but watching movies is somehow different as some movies might reflect the things happen in our lives and deliver great meanings.

A good movie for me has a visible and hidden meaning where sometimes hidden meaning only can be revealed through further reading about the movie (I often do this after watching particular movie) or after watching the movie again and again. I got 3 movies that I watch again and again which are Shooter, The Surrogates and Orphan.

Shooter

Shooter starred by Mark Wahlberg as Bob Lee Swagger, a former military & sharp-shooter who had been tricked by one of the government agencies in order to eliminate the former members of the squad. I love the plot of this story – surprising and dramatic! I wonder how a home area can be place for battle. Cool!

The Surrogates

I love the concept applied in The Surrogates where all people staying in home relax on their stim chairs while controlling their surrogates to live their lives out there. And I also love the meaning behind the story (which I guess) telling about how technology affects our human lives nowadays but in bigger scale. Yes, we are currently relying on technology to live, communicate, making money and etc. but somehow The Surrogates shows us how technology somehow can kill the humanity. Not so surprising but it’s real and amazing.

Orphan

Orphan is the latest movie that came into my list to be watched again and again. It’s very surprising as you cannot guess the ending and what really happen in the story. Family matters and love morality also being shown in this movie. And yes, the plot and hidden mystery behind the existence of Esther is very interesting although it is somehow terrifying. Two thumbs up! =)

I often do further reading about the movies after finish watching them at IMDb.com where you can read all the spoilers, plots, characters, real environment, the concept, inspirations and also spoilers! (Note: It is more interesting to read further information about the movie after you finish watching it)

How about you? Do you have any movie that you watch again and again? You are welcomed to share them here =p

I guess some of you have watched the movie Orphan which had been released in 2009. This interesting film is starred by Isabelle Fuhrman (an amazing factor for me) and other actors which are playing their role effectively in the film. To be honest, I feel a bit regret to ignore this amazing film since the first time I knew about it.

The movie Orphan tells about the story of Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John Coleman (Peter Sarsgaard) who are experiencing problems in their marriage after Kate’s third child, named “Jessica” was died before she was born. The loss of the baby gives hard time on Kate, who is still recovering from a drinking habit. They then adopt Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman), a 9 years old Russian girl who they had met at the local orphanage. The story also includes their son Daniel (Jimmy Bennett) and the little daughter Max (Aryana Engineer).

I love this movie because the plot is interesting and the ending is so unexpected. Maybe some of you will agree with me. Some people say the ending is lame but it’s OK as it depends on your opinion for the movie.

After watching the movie until the end, I read the information related to the movie and feel excited to read the interesting trivia for example about the Saarne Institute in the film (I thought it is a real institute at first).

Here are the video behind the scene of the movie:

I read about some deleted scenes and alternate ending of the movie. You can watch it here:

For me, this is a good movie although it contains some explicit scenes which I think you should avoid your little kids watching them. I hope there will be more interesting movie like Orphan being published after this.

Horror, suspense and unexpected!

Everyone has their own dreams, so am I. In sleep, sometimes you got a wonderful dream, sometimes you got the bad one. i mean vice versa. ouch.

In fact, dreams always oppose the reality – although you might a dream that’s closer to the real one.

You don’t have to sleep to get a dream. You can make it while you’re awake and explore it with your mind.

Gosh. Am I rambling?

Having dreams is a nature part of human, I think. Sometimes you’re dreaming to have a wonderful house, a luxurious car, or even a big cash. Some people have logic dreams, some people not.

Coincidentally (sometimes it’s fate), my chilhood dreams are same with Saffa’s – have my own library at home and my own charity home/organization. Well, it’s really a big dream, right? And I need to do a lot of thing to make it real.

Ok, smaller dream. Have an online/community blog where people can discuss about variety of things and getting donation for charity purposes through the site. I just a made a draft in mind, still don’t plan it seriously yet.

And as I said, dreams always versus reality. You can do whatever you want in your dream, but sometimes you can’t make it possible on several causes. The most cause is – it’s impossible. But as some people say – “impossible is nothing“. Yeah, it’s true. We can’t even communicate with our mobile phone or being on airplane if there’s no people dreaming about these inventions and make it true.

Bedtime Stories – Where Dreams Come True

I watched Bedtime Stories yesterday. It’s an interesting movie for me – where bedtime stories became reality. You can read more about this movie here.

I got some lessons from this movie. Well, every people want the best thing to happen in their life, but sometimes they don’t get it, although they have chances or even magical chances to get it.

Skeeter (the main character in Bedtime Stories) realized that he can get something possible from telling stories to the kids (the kids are awesome! ) but in fact, he can’t get all the things that he want. And even ‘magical’ can’t make it 100% reality.

And in the end, it’s his own effort, thought and strength where he solve the problems and get what he want to be.

Why People Dream?

Sometimes I question myself why I got this and that dream (while sleeping). And I found an interesting article about it here. Yeah. In fact, most of the time, I got the dreams that related to my life and experiences. And sometimes, it’s deja vu (sometimes I’ll realized it 1-2 years after the dream.
